I love and adore not only modern fashion but also historical styles of all kinds and in my work I try to bring them back to life – sometimes as a costume but primarily as regular clothing that can be worn in a modern context. So my designs are always a distillate of various styles through the ages and all around the world. My very personal way of mixing all these influences as well as the use of materials and superior workmanship create a unique and distinctive style. Always a little morbid, dark romantic, very feminine, not compulsively trying to hit the current zeitgeist.
My clothing ist not to be understood as a decorative or simply dressing accessory but as wearable art – object and painting at the same time.
I do not design collections in a classical meaning (well, not for now). My current workings are customized and bespoke individual items. But there is always a certain idea, a certain subject, that I am engaged in during a longer span of time, which creates a series of connected pieces.
The superficial and currently very uniforming world of fashion is my profession, but I am eager to show that surface does not have to be uniform.
